Le Plâtre de Paris Nuit =D

Procrastination always haunts me like it haunts any other absolutely mentally normal student of architecture. The 16th of August was another supposed-to-be boring night since this time it wasn't any core subject's assignment to be submitted the next morning. We (a pal, my room mate and I) dedicated the evening, that eventually turned into late night, to one of the very neglected subjects, BASIC DESIGN AND VISUAL ARTS ;) The assignment was announced like a week ago and as always like absolutely mentally normal students, we began working on it a night before =P
A CUBE, 6" X 6", in dimension was to be made out of plaster of paris!!!
At first it sounded to me like a really useless, time-wasting, good for nothing and bla bla bla job!! n never paid any attention towards it until the the last night before the submission arrived..
Carton frames were made, buckets were brought, water filled and the apartment's lobby was made the workplace!! The POP was poured into an empty bucket, water was mixed taking the proportions in mind and then thoroughly mixed with hand..err...hands actually....all three of us forcing our hands inside the innocent little bucket that started making things grow funny!! =D
After precise mixing of the two contents, the concentrated POP was thrown into the carton frame. The first cube was made successfully with least faults..err..no fault actually. then came my room mate's chance. the same procedure was followed but things started taking a different route this time!! the POP began solidifying soon and tiny solid balls began forming!! PANIC was all over the 3 of us!! that became the fun part!!! *do it as soon as possible before more balls form or face the consequences the next morning..!!!* =/ hands became numb, fingers motionless, muscles tight and body --> sweaty =) the solid balls were removed from the bucket, hammered to powder and forced into another frame of cubical carton!!! This time, success was achieved with slight faults.
And now came my turn, which as already predicted by me, would be completely disastrous! =P i began the process. things remained normal till half way when balls started showing up! and more balls and more balls and MORE BALLS!!!! =0 the whole POP solidified inside the bucket itself! DUH! there was no option left other than hammering those..we hammered and hammered and hammered.....and hammered, only to find a very little useful stuff! =/ i had to be happy with those. they say, "be happy with all that you have" or something...blah!!! the little useful stuff was poured into the carton frame...which unfortunately and mysteriously out of all three of us, only and only my had to break!!! arrrgh! :@ anyways, though not a cube, I at least got a close-to-cube structure! =)
after all this very intense moments, came the moment of joy! =D the whole lobby was messed up, POP all over the wet floor, pieces of plastic bags flying carefree..! hammer, rulers, snap offs, all immersed in POP.. ;)
THE WATER GAME BEGINS --> =D
if we have dirtied the hall, it becomes our utmost responsibility to clean it before the authorities witness the mess that we had created!! don't know from where this thought of "responsibility" came into us when we never cared to even clean our room at least once a week..! =x =P again the buckets were washed and filled with water, this time to smash the floor and slide on it with wiper! =D the whole lobby turned into an ice skating arena..! =D after a 20 minutes of watery game, came the time to go under shower..followed by a BON NUIT =)
